Our goal is for you to leave with less pain and congestion, a clearer understanding of what might have caused this to happen, a focused plan, and practical tools you can use at home to support recovery and help prevent future episodes.

FAQ

Will you prescribe antibiotics?

Primarily this is a hands-on treatment. However, if Dr. Conaway is the provider treating your breasts, she is able to prescribe antibiotics.

Should I bring my baby with me?

Yes, even though this visit is mostly to work on your breasts, to understand the full story, it is still a good idea to bring your baby so that we can see what they do at the breast.

How long will the visit take?

This is a shorter visit than a full lactation consult. You can expect 30-60 minutes, and the cost of the visit is less than a full lactation consult.

Timing/Scheduling: We will do our best to get you in as quickly as possible since we want to work with you as early in the process as we can. Don’t wait to contact us! The sooner you come in, the better.

Breastfeeding supplies: We will need to keep your baby busy while we work with you, so you may want to bring the baby's car seat or even someone to hold them while we work. You may also want to bring any breastfeeding supplies you are actively using with you.
